The International Scouting Network is honored and pleased to announce the addition of professional football scout David West. David will assist ISN with player evaluations, rankings and overall scouting.

David passion for the NFL Draft started in 2008 when Jake Long was the first overall pick. David said since that season he has learned many things about scouting and how much homework should be done on a draft prospect. One can never do too much HW on one player so be as detailed as you can be. Scouts are fact collectors and they do as much as they can to please the GM in charge. Numbers are what drive a draft picks value but never use that simply use numbers to make a draft pick. Where the winners are found is in the film room, you should spend most of your time writing the strengths and weaknesses and evaluate upside and growth. I personally spend time lots of time looking for Sleepers in the draft and guys the both the media and NFL teams are looking. You have to use every resource and look under every rock to find these men which can be found in DI,DII,DIII, NAIA or across the border. Some prospects have the heart and desire to be difference makers in the professional realm.

I have 5 years of sports radio experience and have traveled to the Senior Bowl to evaluate the 2013 Draft Class.  Lastly I serve as a Draft Mentor for draft prospects and 2015 was my very first class. Players such as Cole Manhart(Saints) Carlif Taylor(Giants) and Avius Capers(Panthers)  are just a few players I mentor.
