SWARCO RAIDERS came in flexing & reach Eurobowl XXX – Raiders win 34-0 against Schwäbisch Hall


The SWARCO RAIDERS extended their winning streak in 2016. With a clear 34-0 win against the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns the Tyrolean not just stay still undefeated, they also moved into the Eurobowl XXX at the same time. On the other hand the Unicorns missed the second consecutive participation in the final of the BIG6.In front of 3,218 spectators at the Tivoli Stadium in Innsbruck the defense of the host did not allowed any points of the opponent for the fourth time in a row.


The Austrians showed from the beginning that they are simply unbeatable on that day. Already the first kickoff was carried by Milton Knox for 96 in the near of the end zone of the Unicorns. One play later the SWARCO RAIDERS got their first points after a touchdown of runningback Sandro Platzgummer and a successful PAT of Clemens Elsbacher.

Still in the first quarter the Tyrolean scored again with a 32-yard field goal of Elsbacher and a touchdown of the same player, who is not only the kicker but also a wide receiver of the Austrian team.
Tim Stadelmayr had the chance of points for the Unicorns but missed a fieldgoal attempt from 4o Yards. Even before the break RAIDERS quarterback Sean Shelton found wide receiver Kyle Callahan for another touchdown. Inclusive the PAT it was not only the 24-0-lead, it was also the preliminary decision.
After the break it was the same situation. A strong Tyrolean defense, no big punches of the guests and more points for the host.

Knox scored another touchdown after a pass from quarterback Shelton, then Kicker Elsbacher set the final score with a 40-yards field goal 41 seconds before the end of the game.

The first goal for RAIDERS has been reached with the win of the group and the first entry into the Eurobowl since 2013. There is waiting now the probably biggest hurdle in European football with the New Yorker Lions from Braunschweig. A very exciting game for all football fans.
